Making Ghee and Herbal Ghee
Ghee is a traditional Ayurvedic preparation made from butter. Unsalted butter is cooked until the water evaporates and the milk solids (proteins) solidify and separate. The solids are then strained off and what is left is pure butterfat, called Ghee. Ghee has numerous health benefits; it is anti-inflammatory, helps to heal the gut lining, supports absorption and distribution of nutrients in the body, and contains healthy fats that nourish the adrenal and endocrine systems, amongst others. In this 35-minute video tutorial, you will watch Brittany make ghee in her home kitchen and learn about ghee’s many health benefits and applications, as well as storage and other instructions. You will also learn how to infuse ghee with healing herbs to make herbal ghee to elevate health in areas of immunity, fertility, and more. The included PDF handout includes ghee making instructions as well as several recipes for making herbal ghee.
