We are making transitions constantly in our lives. Some are small like the transition out…
Wise waning moon, slowly cutting back and growing small, reserving and preserving the rich energy of creation, the fertile energy of the world, the soft glow of change. Elder of the night sky, conductor of closing days, snuffer of waning flames – show me the way to go.
The waning moon decreases in size from right to left, making the shape of a C in the sky. As the moon wanes it rises later and later, rising at midnight at the time of the last quarter, the midpoint of the waning cycle. The waning moon is a time for healing – a time for introspection and contemplation. It is a time to be gentle with ourselves – a time to love and accept all parts of what is and all parts of who we are. With this reflection may we practice self-appreciation, self-respect and formulate sustainable hopes for the future. Moving forward, we must make space for new – may the new moon teach us to patiently and slowly shed layers, to let go of that which no longer serves us so that we can make space for a new harvest. It is a time to trust that shedding layers and letting go will only bring more abundance to our lives, hopes and dreams.
During the waning moon may you make time to let go of that which does not serve you so that you may move into your full potential in the new moon ahead.
